Rotate PDF 90 Degrees Counterclockwise

Rotate all PDF pages 90 degrees counterclockwise (to the left). This preset corrects documents where pages are rotated to the right and need to be turned back, landscape documents that should be portrait, and any pages where the content runs in the wrong direction. Each page is pre-rotated 270 degrees (equivalent to 90° counterclockwise) when loaded, and you can fine-tune individual pages as needed.

FAQ

Is 90° counterclockwise the same as 270° clockwise?
Yes, they produce exactly the same result. Rotating 90° counterclockwise (to the left) is mathematically identical to rotating 270° clockwise (three quarter-turns to the right). Both turn the top of the page to the left side.
How do I know if I need clockwise or counterclockwise?
Look at your sideways page: if the text reads from bottom-to-top (the top of the text is on the left edge), you need clockwise rotation. If the text reads from top-to-bottom (the top of the text is on the right edge), you need counterclockwise. Try one direction — if it's wrong, use the other.
Does this work with scanned documents?
Yes. Rotation works identically on scanned PDFs, native PDFs, and image-based PDFs. The operation changes page orientation metadata without altering the content, so scanned images and embedded text are both rotated correctly.
