FAQ

Is the redacted text actually removed from the file?
Yes. When you apply redactions, the underlying text and image data beneath each redaction box is permanently deleted from the PDF. It cannot be recovered by selecting, copying, or using PDF editing software.
Can I redact images and logos too?
Yes. The area redaction tool covers any content — text, images, logos, signatures, or anything else visible on the page.
Is my document sent to a server for redaction?
No. Redaction runs entirely in your browser. This is especially important for sensitive documents — your file never leaves your device.
Can I undo a redaction after applying it?
Before applying, you can remove or adjust redaction boxes freely. After clicking Apply Redactions, the removal is permanent and cannot be undone. Always keep a backup of the original file.
What does the redacted area look like?
Redacted areas appear as solid black rectangles in the final PDF. The underlying content is completely removed from the file data.
